Welcome to the website for the
Belfast Musical Festival of Music, Speech and Drama.
We welcome entries into this competitive Festival covering a broad range of Music, Speech, and Drama, organised for all from Belfast and beyond. This is a charitable organisation, run by interested volunteers, to give a platform to and encourage the highest standards of performance from amateurs of all ages who love to perform.

2012 Belfast Musical Festival of Music Speech and Drama
Music Section
In 2012 the Festival welcomes Mr. Michael Ball from Co. Dublin as our adjudicator. Michael Ball adjudicated in Belfast Musical Festival in 2003 and we are looking forward to his return. He has chosen the set pieces for the necessary classes (except the piano classes) and he hopes entrants will be pleased with his selection. The committee is indebted to June Armstrong and John McParland, who very kindly set the pieces for the piano classes.
With the help of Music teachers, the committee has reviewed the syllabus for 2012 and made the following changes -
Modified the classes
Aligned some of the class categories into line with school year designations
Renumbered classes
Amended the entry conditions andRevised the Entry Form.
Furthermore, information for The Belfast Musical Festival will soon be found on a new website at www.belfastmusicalfestival.com. This will be a helpful way of sharing key information with you, e.g. the syllabus, the entry form, the festival timetable and a way to contact us. We look forward to another successful festival in 2012 and hope you will continue to support your festival. Remember the closing date for entries for the Music Section is 17 January 2012.
